Nathan Motley was born in 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Painting and Printmaking.  He earned his MFA from Pratt Institute.  Nathan Motley currently lives and works in Richmond, Virginia.
